Nijmegen and Arnhem form in fact a twin city. Fortunately there is a lot of tango happening in our towns besides El Corte. On May 19th 2007 the organizations came together and decided to publicize their events under the united name: TANtango.

Flor de Fango in Arnhem has been active for over 19 years. Another event location in Arnhem is the grand café Dudok, organized by Hanneke Nieste.

A few tango addicts started tango cafe Hooglandt in Nijmegen in March 2002. The final tango café was in October 2006! The follow-up salon was in café de Kroon, whiched stopped in 2010.
Riette, Arnoud and Kyra also organize the Thiemepark salon in August.

Jolanda's salon (22tango) in Villa Lila started in February 2005. Meanwhile they have moved there events to Ammané.

Ultimo Tango had some try outs in 2005 & 2006 during the doble ocho festival and in August during the 4 days of summer tango and will do on and off salons and raves.
Event location is mostly: de Lindenberg

Marianne and Hervé organize the salon in the Waagh, a historic building on the old market square.

In 2009 a new intitiative: Milonga Alegre is set up: Guilherne Crain is the organiser of this event. The hall is a beautiful venue, very suitable for a traditional salon. Another reason to come to Nijmegen!
